The PlateBooster MTP mixer uses the Advalytix SAW mixing technology to efficiently mix the sample in the microtiter plate. The PlateBooster has no moving parts and so the flows in the wells are created by high-frequency ultrasonic waves. This results in a vibration free rapid and gentle agitation, which eliminates any risk of contamination or spillage. (Click here to see video)
The PlateBooster is perfect for integration into automated liquid handling systems meaning that pipetting and mixing can be performed simultaneously. Integration is further facilitated by the small footprint of the mixing module (only 110 x 72 x 15 mm) and an RS232 control interface.
Moreover, the Advalytix SAW technology is safe for use with live cells.
The PlateBooster96 mixes 96-well microplates made of polystyrene, COC (Cyclic Olefin Copolymer, Topas) and glass. Polypropylene plates can not be used with the PlateBooster.
